MOROCCO DISASTER RECOVERY

A Resort Global and its co owner and global tourism developing company Staff Travel Voyage have jumped to assist Morocco with its earthquake recovery programme. A frames are the most stable of all structures and there could be no sturdier property to reside in, especially in a destination where an earthquake, which whilst unusual, could strike (Morocco has not had an earthquake since 1960). Furthermore A Resort's A frames are 100% off grid and provide 100kwh of power from the suns rays and are therefore supporting the environment.

A Resort has teamed up with the Ministry of Environment and various agencies, to offer specially priced re housing options as well as to provide investors with the opportunity purchase a highly discounted  A frame in a unique tourism belted area, and receive an astonishing 20% return on their investment.

The Moroccan earthquake of 2023, also called the Oukaïmedene earthquake or the Marrakech-Safi earthquake, was a severe earthquake that struck near the town of Oukaïmedene in western Morocco on September 8, 2023. More than 2,900 people were killed and 5,500 people injured in the shallow magnitude-6.8 temblor and its aftershocks. The earthquake heavily damaged parts of the ancient section of Marrakech and devastated several remote settlements in the Atlas Mountains. It was felt as far away as Morocco’s largest city, Casablanca, and in Portugal and Algeria.

What Are We Doing?

Triangles are incredibly strong shapes. When a force is applied to one of the corners of a triangle, it is distributed down each side. The two sides of the triangle are squeezed and lean on each other. When a building sways, twists or shifts, the force is managed by these shapes to hold the structural integrity of the building together.

It is easy to imagine therefore that triangular shape and engineered building will always sway less during an earthquake than any other shape building because they offer increased resistance to twisting

Enter the A Resort A Frame!

Fully off grid it also does not rely on 3rd part supplied electricity as well of course as being sustainable and environmentally friendly.

It was natural for A Resort and its co owning global tourism developer Staf Travel Voyage to offer its assistance following the devasting earthquake in Morocco in September 2023
